Th 1.10.2015, 7pm
Fleeting and irreversible, time slips away like sand through your fingers – as expertly shown by the winner of this year’s Rado Star Prize Austria, Louisa Koeber. From January through August of this year, talented designers exhibited their works in the window of the Rado boutique in Vienna. The winner has now been chosen: Koebler’s “Sandscape”, a work composed of hourglass-shaped elements that create a miniature sand landscape in real time, won out against seven other installations. Koebler will receive € 5,000 in prize money and the chance to exhibit her works at the Rado Boutique during Vienna Design Week.
The winner of the Rado Star Prize isn't the only thing of beauty that the brand is presenting in honor of this year's Vienna Design Week. Rado has also unveiled its latest limited edition watch, the Rado True Vienna Edition 2015. Limited to just fifteen pieces, the watch is crafted in matt black high-tech ceramic and boasts dial details in yellow, the official color of Vienna Design Week. The Rado True Vienna Edition 2015 is dedicated to the city of Vienna and available exclusively in Austria.
