Lebendige Innere Hernalser Hauptstraße

The "Living streets" project is working on three streets, Innere Hernalser Hauptstraße, Lerchenfelderstraße and Wallensteinstraße, in order to provide blocks of streets with a new dynamic. The project is financed for three years by the districts and the city of Vienna, while the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the Vienna Chamber of Commerce are partners of the project.
The long-term aim is to emphasise the location's special character. The distinctiveness of the place creates an identity for business people, owners and inhabitants. Creating and upgrading spaces for recreation and living means they can be used flexibly, making visitors stay longer and raising the quality of the location and its economic attractiveness.
