Sebastian Pataki

My name is Sebastian Pataki. After graduating in 2009 and working with the design studios HORT, Pixelgarten and Trapped in Suburbia, I decided to make Amsterdam my home. Although I usually describe myself as a graphic designer, I strive for versatility. No matter if it‘s illustration or animation, I try to solve problems with my very own approach, regardless which media I‘m working with.
Accidents and coincidences during the design process are crucial for my work. If I witness something abnormal or weird, I‘m completely on fire, and I try exploiting new possibilities connected to the little ‘mistake‘ I made. I‘m not into pretty–pretty. I like dodgy, quirky, homemade, DIY-approach, folk art, simple, naive, improvised. I like visual roughness, structures and flaws.
