The new Institute of Design Research Vienna (IDRV) is currently developing an experimental form of teaching design history online. In the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2010, Harald Gruendl and his team will present the most exciting aspects in three interventions.
At the Haus Wittgenstein, during the new Circle 00001 (r=5)-format the authors Gerda Breuer (DE) and Penny Sparke (UK), Alberto Alessi (IT as well as one collector and one designer debate about the question of “What makes a design classic?”. Afterwards, the voting results of the interactive “Wiener Schnitzel Hunt” (design history, redesigned 1) will also be announced.
