During the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2011, there will be a ‘Hinterland’ for 10 days – it will pop open and then fold shut. And in between will be an inviting journey.

A colossal book – when you open it, a whole new world, all out of cardboard, comes into being: a tree, whose leaves reflect the hinterland that one enters with just one step inside the open book. Lying under the tree, one can get lost in thoughts of another world – with the aid of sound and image. A dream world for just a short time!

Stage designer Martina Segna, photographer Wolfgang Silveri, designer Jakob Winkler, sound designer Favela Gold, and the founder of ‘Hinterland’, Gudrun Wallenböck, invite you on this
journey – into the ‘Hinterland’.
