In a delicate balancing act poised between shop and gallery, the Rado Boutique Vienna yet again combined young Austrian exhibition design with the current watch collections of the traditional Swiss brand. Besides presenting all eight projects participating in this year’s window display competition, most striking during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK was the visually fascinating winning project SANDSCAPE by the radiant Louisa Köber, which was awarded the Rado Star Prize 2015 – a brilliant installation in every respect, made of exactly 650 stones seeking parallels between the shifting and sifting of time and sand. The Rado True Vienna Edition 2015 was launched on the same occasion. Its hands are kept in the festival color of yellow, and the watch edition is limited to fifteen examples. The festival director was never as punctual as this year!
