The WALK OF FAME was a hot-topic exhibition that addressed distinctive, creative and innovative design practices. In the run-up to the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK the best of Austrian design solutions from diverse fields presented here – including hotel concept, lamp baldachin, cooking pot module, et al. – won the State Design Award 2015 of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, which is presented alternately with the outstanding artist award – Experimental Design of the Federal Chancellery. Thus outstanding projects, for example the magdas Hotel, showed that this year was yet again an occasion that took biennial stock of Austrian design on behalf of the consumer goods industry.
