Founded in 1885, the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague has always been counted among the foremost and most prestigious universities for the fine and applied arts, design architecture, and graphic art.
To link up with the show UMPRUM ATTACK! in the National Gallery in Prague, the temporary Kunstkammer opened up a space for interaction and dialogue.
Applied arts met graphics and design – and were showcased as atypical solutions at the crossroads of artistic and industrial design. The exhibition
was accompanied by an intern publication and showed a cross-section of outstanding study works, all created between 2014 and 2016.
Regardless of whether typography, fashion items, a filleting knife, a trophy for
Škoda, a database for linocut, or plush objects and a glass triptych – exhibits that were striking for their bold experimental approaches.
