Arrêter pour Areti! The wordplay and command to stop and admire the formally precise lamps created by the sisters Guillane and Gwendolyn Kerschbaumer shouldn’t be ignored. What was on display in the behan+thurm flagship store on Schwarzenbergplatz, near the busy Ring, was worth seeing: straight-lined, delicate compositions of geometric forms from Atelier Areti. The two sisters, who started designing lamps in 2008, proved themselves to be veritable aesthetes, which isn’t surprising: Their mother preceded them as a designer. Stopping was a true joy!
