According to the paidia concept, exploring new worlds – in this case virtual worlds – would be a child’s play. As children, we already opened up the world by trying out new things to understand them. With Vivien Schreiber and Jörg Hofstätter’s technically precise gaming app, VIRTUAL PAIDIA, players investigated with their own hands possible ways to interact with virtual reality, collecting colors and drawing in space with pinched thumb and index finger to bring the world around them to life. The app was so easy to learn, intuitive, and surprising that its popularity among both young and old could be expected. And so: thumbs (and index fingers) up for one of the highlights at the Kenyon-Pavillon!
