DESIGN EVERYDAY – DESIGN FOR DAILY USE 2020

Vandasye

25.9.–4.10.2020

The exhibition DESIGN EVERYDAY – DESIGN FOR DAILY USE 2020 presented outstandingly designed everyday objects from the Austrian design scene for the fourth time. At VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2020, the issue of sustainability was particularly prominent – and even the exhibition’s display stands (which were designed by the Vienna design office Vandasye) were formed from modular cardboard elements, which could be adapted to the exhibits and reused. The objects on show in 2020 were notable for their convincing and responsible design and their sustainable production. Whether seats, crockery, or lamps – it is precisely those objects that we use extensively and every day that deserve the special attention of innovative and sustainability-oriented product designers.

Designed and curated by Vandasye (Georg Schnitzer and Peter Umgeher), in cooperation with the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. Supported by KAT – Kreativwirtschaft Austria and the Vienna Business Agency.

The exhibition featured projects by Andrea Lenardin, Celia-Hannes, dottings Industrial Design, EOOS, Inseq Design, Kerstin Pfleger, LUCY.D, Lukas Klingsbichel, Klemens Schillinger, MARCH GUT, Mischer‘traxler studio, MO-NI-KA, Peter Paulhart, Sandra Holzer, studio högl borowski, Studio Sain, and Thomas Feichtner.
