The garden is commonly regarded as a place of pleasure – right across the globe, gardens have historically been designed as places in which to recuperate and gather one’s energies but also in which to really let one’s hair down. But that which goes in behind the garden wall is not always accessible to all, a fact that only serves to feed our fantasy.
