The designer Lukács László’s open studio and footwear workshop at VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2020 represented his second appearance at the festival. What does the perfect men’s shoe look like? And what about modern, high-quality, and individual product design? In order to answer exactly these questions, Lukács László invited visitors to follow his meticulously precise creative process at firsthand. In his studio in Vienna’s Wieden District he talked shop about the journey from the idea, via the design, to the final product, which not only appears minimalist and elegant, but also resists everyday wear and tear. With the support of Faber-Castell, Lukács László also offered Vienna a shoe design workshop in the auditorium of the Festival Headquarters in Meidling.
