Plaudereckn are seats in public spaces specially designed for the corona crisis. They should make it possible to meet in the open air and nestle comfortably for a while, despite the social distancing rules. The corona-compliant seats were commissioned by Vienna City Council and realized by four local design studios. They were to be seen in a series of locations in Vienna throughout the summer. Some, such as the design by the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Program Partner dottings Industrial Design, have now become permanent features on Columbusplatz in Favoriten. Plaudereckn were designed by mostlikely architecture, dottings Industrial Design, POLKA, and NUT & FEDER.
