Meeting point: toilet. In response to an invitation from LAUFEN, the students of the master’s course Interior Design & Visual Communication of the New Design University (NDU) St. Pölten spent the summer semester of 2021 tackling the subject of school toilets. They designed not only from a purely functional perspective, but also in view of the social significance of the toilet in the everyday life of pupils. The exhibition demonstrates the breadth of the output – which includes blueprints for spatial concepts, signage, pictograms, color schemes, and lighting moods.
