COLLECTIVE BUILDING. ARCHITECTURE AS ASSEMBLY.

Architekturkollektiv AKT

17.9.2022, 7pm–8.30pm

The architecture collective AKT was founded in 2019 and currently has 17 members. AKT is marking the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK by talking about its projects and about the reality of working in a collective. The objective of AKT is to create architecture that intervenes in social contexts. Working together as a collective means not only the extra work that is required in order to arrive at shared decisions, but also the added value of spaces that are created in new ways. The design and execution processes feed off each other in a very positive manner, as do the interaction and sense of solidarity between the participants. AKT has been commissioned to design the Austrian Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia in 2023 together with Hermann Czech. More information at a-k-t.eu.
