An ode to the everyday: The new boutique hotel MOTTO on Mariahilfer Straße is exhibiting spatial object compositions by Olga Flór, which seek to enable us to experience and perceive our surroundings in new ways. The pieces that are presented in the form of small islands by the Eindhoven-based designer create poetic places of calm and contemplation: Vases, candlesticks, and planters hint at utilitarian uses, yet what they really want is our attention, they want to be touched, to experience understanding and tenderness. In turn, textile wall hangings envelop us in comfort and intimacy, while aluminum sculptures tell of everyday oases, where life is completely normal.
