WASEN, WESEN, WERKSTATT im Cumberland54

Luma.Launisch

18.9.2022, 12pm–8pm

Anyone who knows Florian Tanzer knows him as half of the visual art duo Luma.Launisch. But when performing solo, Tanzer does nothing by half. As part of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, the video artist and designer is exhibiting his vases, beings, and visual universes in three locations: Throughout the festival, the exhibition “WASEN & WESEN”, with its unique ceramic objects and #UniqueCeramics-Fotografien by Gregor Hofbauer (photographed with the drag icon Dutzi Ijsenhower), can be seen in Vienna’s Palmenhaus. Luma.Launisch is also adding glamour and a hint of color in a bathroom in the Festival Headquarters in the GASSE. And, on 18.9., one can visit the studio in which Florian Tanzer has produced at least one vase or being a day for the past five years. Welcome to Wonderland! Welcome in Cumberland!

Open Studio Day:
From artistic glasswork, ceramics, and co-creativity via fashion and painting to prototypes for the Vollpension – the ground-floor studio in Cumberlandstraße 54 is a hotbed of creative handcraft. [Web] Open Studio Day with coffee and cake, prosecco, and projects by the ten artists.

To mark its 10th anniversary, the Vollpension, whose décor and prototypes are also created at Cumberland54, is returning to its place of origin in Mariahilf.

In parallel with this event, the designer and artistic metalworker Laurenz Kyral is also holding his own Open Studio Day in Cumberlandstraße.
