carla Mittersteig has been a fixture of Vienna’s second-hand landscape for 35 years. As part of a collaboration between the design.build.studio of TU Wien and Caritas Wien, architecture students have been remodeling the spaces since autumn 2022 via a series of targeted constructional interventions. The opening party during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK will shed light on the stages of the project – from the planning, via the coordination with users and neighbors, to the actual building phase: through guided tours, an opening talk, and a retro games tournament. The restart will be fittingly celebrated – with refreshments, drinks, and music!

The Festival Headquarters in the Prater is also hosting TRUE LOVE WILL FIND YOU IN THE END, a staging for carla by Nadja Zerunian and Pauline Thurn und Taxis.
