The fairground ride operator Stefan Sittler-Koidl invites visitors to join a tour offering exclusive glimpses behind the scenes in the Wiener Prater. The two-hour tour begins with a ride on Vienna’s Giant Ferris Wheel, during which participants can learn more about the historical background to and design of the amusement park – from the Vienna World’s Fair of 1873 to the present day. Further stations on the tour include the attractions Grand Autodrom – an architectural masterpiece – and the indoor rollercoaster Insider. A backstage tour of the workshop of the so-called Sombrero is followed by stops at the Wiener Freifallturm and the Break Dance ride. And the tour winds up at the Bar im Prater, where the amusement park expert Julian Omonsky explains the keys to designing a rollercoaster.
