“At TREWIT, we like tools. A good tool is reliable, lasts forever, and sits perfectly in the hand. This guiding principle – enhanced by the factor of aesthetics – also applies to the latest chairs developed by TREWIT and our company in general: function that forms and form that functions. One example of this is the new orchestra chair that was created with the design office Vandasye. This adapts to the ergonomic sitting position of the musicians – depending on bodily shape or instrument – which saves energy while playing and supports optimal breathing. TREWIT also worked with the studio Lucy.D to create a family of chairs for people in need of care. Developed in parallel with a social study, these chairs combine – as functional equals – a warm formal language, ergonomics, and easy cleaning. And the Upper Austrian manufacturer has developed quality tools that combine functionality with formal beauty for these two contrasting areas of application.”
