Every year, the interior design magazine H.O.M.E. invites distinguished architectural teams to design the so-called H.O.M.E. Haus. In 2025, it was designed by the renowned Austrian firm Coop Himmelb(l)au and can be experienced at the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Festival Headquarters in the form of an engaging model and an immersive virtual reality installation. The H.O.M.E. Haus 2025 follows the vision that has driven Coop Himmelb(l)au and architect Wolf D. Prix since the firm was founded more than 50 years ago: the cloud as a living space. Inside a transparent sphere, living is reimagined here. The house creates feedback architecture by allowing the space – free of ceilings and walls – to be transformed into ever-changing living constellations.
