DESIGN SCROLL – CONTEMPORARY ONLINE VOICES

VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, dreamspaces, b0ysfirm, Nina Sieverding

30.9.2025, 5pm

The shift from (web) pages to feeds has made itself felt in design media, as in all other areas. The way we consume images, promotion, and criticism of design objects and spaces has changed fundamentally. Digital channels seem to remove many of the limitations of traditional media while offering radically new possibilities for communication and networking. VIENNA DESIGN WEEK invites three prominent creatives with different but related bodies of work to share their views on the contemporary online discourse on design, which ranges from memes to reels to Substack essays.

With inputs from Isabelle Angèle (dreamspaces) and Nina Sieverding (the thing magazine) as well as interventions from the meme account b0ysfirm.

Moderation: Gabriel Roland, director of VIENNA DESIGN WEEK
