Phenomenon: silk. Mud Silk Studios presents sustainably handmade silk textiles produced using a traditional method from southeastern China. Created in collaboration with artisans, the immersive installation highlights the 17-step process involved in silk production and natural dyeing, thereby also telling the story of the cultural heritage behind the creations.  In addition to artisanal finesse, the skillful interplay of sunlight, the Shuliang plant, and mud from the Pearl River Delta are crucial to producing these high-quality fabrics.
