EDITION #5: BANNER BAG

Glein, Bueronardin, VIENNA DESIGN WEEK

26.9.–5.10.2025

Festival recycling: The graphics designed by Bueronardin dominated the Festival Headquarters of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2024 – especially on numerous construction fences covered with printed tarpaulins. On behalf of the festival team, a limited edition of bags made from this material has now been created in collaboration with product designer Sebastian Leitinger, founder of the Viennese label Glein. Each bag is unique, marked by the traces and fragments of the original print. The design reduces material waste to an absolute minimum. The cord is made from recycled polypropylene and can be flexibly adjusted with a knot, while the zipper is made from reused PET. The result is a small unisex everyday bag for your wallet, glasses, keys, and phone, characterized by minimal material and labor input as well as a clear form. The BANNER BAG is an expression of the power of design in the reuse of residual materials and offers a unique opportunity to carry a piece of festival history.

The Design Everyday EDITION #5: BANNER BAG is handmade in the European Union and available at the Festival Headquarters. The edition is strictly limited.
