Heat in urban areas is a growing problem. With the project SCIURUS, Xpoints proposes a technical interim solution inspired by the squirrel (Latin: “Sciurus”). Based on the myth that the rodent can create shade for itself, the project focuses on unsealing the ground, renaturalizing cities, and collective participation. The assembly and dismantling of the installation is designed as an open event in which everyone can participate.
