A Festival Program is like one’s own children: Every item on the program should be treated equally. And yet: Towards the end of the festival, Lilli Hollein, Director and Co-Founder of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, singles out aspects of the 2020 festival that form a cross-section from the objective perspective of the organizer. And, in turn, from the subjective perspective of the unwaveringly enthusiastic design educator, these are also contributions that one shouldn’t miss. Either way, this FOMO (“fear of missing out”) ensures that one completes one’s daily stint with the pedometer and enjoys the reassuring sense of having done so.
