FESTIVAL 2025

The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2025 once again showcased a diverse cultural perspective on design. The internationally oriented, curated festival presented specially commissioned projects in a variety of formats, addressing topics that extended far beyond product design — including social design, craftsmanship, circular economy, architecture, sustainability, and digital innovation.

Over ten autumn days – from September 26 to October 5, 2025 – the festival transformed Vienna into a stage for around 50,000 visitors. More than 120 events across nearly 50 locations offered insights into the full spectrum of the creative industries. Around 500 designers presented their work in exhibitions, workshops, talks, tours, and interventions.

In addition to curated formats and mediation programs, contributions from partners in business and culture also shaped the festival’s program. VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2025 achieved impressive reach with nearly 60,000 social media followers and around 500 print and online media clippings.

With this, the festival once again confirmed its position as Austria’s largest and most influential design event – and as an important driving force for the international creative scene.
