Our tour began at Collectible in Brussels, where, together with Bureau Fomo, we transformed an off-space into what might just have been the world's most extraordinary Viennese souvenir shop. Surrounded by one-of-a-kind pieces created by twenty designers, LOBMEYR pendants, spritzes and countless conversations, one thing became clear: the best souvenirs are the ones you take to heart—no matter where you bring them home from.
To celebrate its 20th edition, VIENNA DESIGN WEEK embarks on an Anniversary Tour exporting its unique spirit to selected design events across Europe. The first stop: Collectible Brussels, in collaboration with the Vienna-based curatorial duo Bureau Fomo. For one evening, Vitesse Lab will turn into a temporary Viennese “Souvenir Stop and Shop” — somewhere between exhibition, retail space, and a place to meet and hang out.
Together, VIENNA DESIGN WEEK and Bureau Fomo invite you to an evening featuring limited-edition souvenirs and unique design objects. Curated by Bureau Fomo the event brings together presentation, exchange, and relaxed socialising — with a small bar serving Austrian drinks (Weißer Spritzer! home-made Schnaps!) and a typically Viennese relaxed socialising.
