Festivalcafé Caffetteria Azzurro

“Let’s breathe new life into the blue giant on Hietzinger Kai with culinary delights, the best coffee, and a wide variety of treats!”

Located in the former canteen of the Allianz office building, Caffetteria Azzurro is seizing the moment. Under this theme, the festival café offers visitors to the Festival Headquarters coffee from Caffè vom See, homemade baked goods, savory snacks to go, and delicious dishes to enjoy with a spoon.

Despite its name, the original Café Azzurro on Urban-Loritz-Platz is not a traditional coffeehouse, but rather a vibrant restaurant with a cozy, living-room atmosphere. Under the direction of Stephan Stahl and Mara Feißt, the restaurant serves international pub-style cuisine with a Mediterranean focus, complemented by a wide selection of (natural) wines, great drinks, and a consistently lively atmosphere.

Café Azzurro is the sister restaurant of Restaurant Kommod, which designed and operated a street food stand modeled after the Korean Pojangmacha during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2022 in collaboration with the design duo KIM+HEEP (Mia Kim and Nikolas Heep).
