Products, stories, experiences!

Special things are placed on the PLATFORM: Austrian and international companies, museums, cultural institutions, universities, galleries, and architectural and design offices of every size cooperate closely with the festival team as they present contributions that they have specially produced for the festival. The diverse range of events spans product presentations, project showcases, and experiments as well as exhibitions, pop-ups, events, and performances, all the way to workshops, installations, educational programs, talks, and much more, all of which can be experienced over the course of ten days at venues throughout the City Full of Design.

The contributions are organized autonomously by the PLATFORM participants and compiled by the festival team. New since last year: For those who do not have a location but want to show something at the festival – or vice versa, those who have a location but no suitable content – there is now the format Mixer!, in which the curatorial team of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK ensures the right mix of content and venues.
