Abhishek Blesson Manuel Alex Sahayam

Abhishek is a 25-year-old architect from India, based in Vienna, completing his diploma at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the School of Environment and Architecture and Design (SEAD), Chennai. His expertise lies in earth construction, vernacular building knowledge, and climate-responsive design, with a focus on material research into rammed earth, adobe, and lime-based systems for thermal performance, seismic resilience, and durability. His work combines fieldwork and with computational tools like climate data modeling, alongside hands-on experience in bamboo-clay construction, timber formwork, and low-carbon composite materials for sustainable, climate-adapted architecture.
