Alexandra Brückner, Head of Production

Alexandra has been an integral part of VIENNA DESIGN WEEK since 2018. She oversees the festival’s production, with a particular focus on identifying, selecting, and planning the annually changing FESTIVAL HEADQUARTERS. Even when managing complex processes and multiple projects simultaneously, she maintains a clear overview and a calm, composed approach. Her background in exhibition design and art history has given her a profound understanding of spatial concepts and the staging of objects. Combined with her keen interest in architecture and her extensive network within the real estate sector, this has made her an expert in the field of temporary use projects.

Alexandra Brückner leads the formats URBAN FOOD & DESIGN and DESIGN EVERYDAY, and co-curates the motion design format MOVING MATERIALS. She is also responsible for coordinating the festival’s collaborations and partnerships.
