Andreas Fogarasi

Andreas Fogarasi is a visual artist whose research, installations, sculptures, and videos explore the materiality of the built environment and its social, political, and historical implications.

His works have been shown internationally, with solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Wien; Galerie Florence Loewy, Paris; Quartz Studio, Turin; Proyectos Monclova, Mexico City; MAK Center, Los Angeles; GFZK – Museum of Contemporary Art, Leipzig; Museum Haus Konstruktiv, Zurich; Trafó Gallery, Budapest; Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art, Toronto; Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; MAK, Vienna; as well as in the Hungarian Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale, where he was awarded the Golden Lion.
