France’s leading auction house Artcurial was founded in 2002 and deals in all sectors of design, the visual arts andcollectibles. With auctions in Paris and Monte Carlo, in 2014 the auction house achieved a sales volume of 192 million euros, thus boasting a growth of fifty percent within three years. In Europe, Artcurial leads the field in comics, Hermès Vintage and classic automobiles, in France in jewelry and watches/clocks. Since 2012 Artcurial has been represented with branches in Brussels and Milan; in 2014 the Austrian branch was opened on Rudolfsplatz, with art historian Mag. Caroline Messensee as director.
