Backhausen

For 165 years the Austrian textile manufacturer of Backhausen has been developing and producing premier-quality textiles for interiors. The name of this old established Viennese firm has always been closely associated with Art Nouveau and the Wiener Werkstätte – fabrics were created in collaboration with Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser, Otto Wagner and more. This epoch also gave rise to the largest collection worldwide of historic textile designs, an inexhaustible resource pool for new developments. Linking up with this tradition, designs are still being produced today with contem-
porary artists and architects. Many prestige buildings, theatres and concert halls, hotels and restaurants across the world are decorated with Backhausen fabrics.
