Budapest Metropolitan University

Founded in 2000, Budapest Metropolitan University is one of Hungary's most important centers for arts education, with its Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. The programs range from animation, visual communication, fashion, architecture, and film to theoretical areas of art, with a practical approach.

The portfolio-based admission system emphasizes the creativity and unique vision of applicants. Renowned active artists from the fields of design, film, graphics, fashion design, and media art share their knowledge in workshops. The education is project-based and often linked to real-world assignments – students work directly with companies and institutional partners. The faculty also has an extensive international network: through the Erasmus+ program, more than 200 partner universities offer opportunities for study abroad.
