In their work, Hanna Burkart and Philipp Furtenbach enter situations that open for them changed perspectives on certain locations and social mechanisms. Together, they publish their work under the name BURKART FURTENBACH.
In spring 2016, they gave up their permanent living and work spaces and have developed since then a contemporary nomadic lifestyle that enables them to set up wherever they choose in a short amount of time. An increased amount of attention to local circumstances and processes provides a foundation for analyses, concepts, interventions, and happenings that have been developed for specific locations.
In 2017, Hanna Burkart and Philipp Furtenbach founded Universal Pragmatics as a workspace for performative location and process development.
