CIVA, Vienna’s new media art festival, aims to illustrate the potential of artistic approaches when these interact with science, technology, and global society. CIVA does this by using a range of places in Vienna and in the virtual realm: Places where people from all around the world can come together and network. Places where digital artistic formats become visible. Places where international networking, discussion, and exchange take place. Places that serve society.

CIVA (which rhymes with cyber) stands for Contemporary Immersive Virtual Art and is organized by the agency sound:frame.
