Emanuel Jesse
Emanuel Jesse studied graphic design at the University of Applied Arts (Graduate class Oliver Kartak), began his artistic career with traditional graffiti, then founded his own studio in Vienna. The works created there range from graphic design to large-scale artworks for interior and outside environments. As many work steps as possible are realized directly in the studio – from the sketch and the design through to production, using methods taken from painting, screen printing, and the cutting plotter. This means he can intervene in every phase of the project, and it moreover allows flexibility and a better understanding of the subject matter. The projects are realized in collaboration with a team that, if necessary, also moves around to the respective work location as mobile studio. A key focus in Emanuel Jesse’s work is the encounter with two-dimensional design and its transition into three-dimensional space.
