Franziska Romana
Franziska Romana is a graphic designer and illustrator from Munich. She works freelance or in design agencies as illustrating art director in charge of CI projects in the gastronomy and cultural scenes, or makes forays into interior design. For five years, Romana has been developing ever new visual identities for the bobbeaman music club, constantly inventing new illustrations for it, yet remaining one on her own: Sumi-e brush and ink – she needs no more in order to tell stories in her favorite color of black. Yet, her works are everything else than dark and gloomy, they are as clear as they are detailed: “After all, viewers experience the most beautiful colors through their own imagination.” Having moved from Munich to Hamburg a short time ago, Franziska Romana is at present exploring a new, undiscovered home territory for her illustrations: textiles.
