Gabriel Roland

As director of VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, Gabriel Roland oversees the team, handles international relations, commissions and special projects. He initiated the Virtual Festival Headquarters in 2020 and co-curates the festival’s renowned PASSIONSWEGE format, which aims to bridge design and craft. With a foundation in textile design, Gabriel Roland occasionally delves into fashion writing. Beyond his commitments at VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, he is involved in a diverse array of projects spanning toys, pop culture, digital media, and art in public spaces.
