Jakob Jakubowski

Under the pseudonym Kubakub, Viennese architect, 3D artist, and filmmaker Jakob Jakubowski navigates the intersection of the tangible and the virtual. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with degrees in art and architecture in 2022. Kubakub combines disciplines to create immersive narratives that challenge conventional perceptions of space and form. To him, the virtual world is a laboratory for social reinvention. His projects explore how digital landscapes can promote emancipatory forms of expression, engaging in a dialogue between Vienna’s communal building heritage and speculative visions of the future.
