Pete Fung

Pete Fung is a researcher, teacher and social designer whose practice explores how design can critically engage citizens in collectively imagining our world differently. As the first resident of Redesigning Design Weeks – CIVICITY, he contributed to a broader exploration into how design weeks can create a positive impact on their host cities. Developed by Nieuwe Instituut in collaboration with the Embassy and Consulate-General of the Netherlands in Italy and cheFare, CIVICITY is a residency programme based in Milan that invites designers to critically examine the social and environmental challenges associated with large-scale design events and to develop more civic-minded, inclusive and sustainable models for the future.
