Popchop

Popchop traces its origins to a three-day event organized in 2022 by Matthias Balgavý, the magazine’s editor and festival founder, along with Philipp Stürzenbecher and Fabienne Feltus. It now encompasses regular events as well as an annual festival (Vienna Future Food Week) and a magazine designed by Bureau F. Popchop brings together the voices of international figures from the world of food culture and raises awareness of topics such as the future of food, culinary hedonism, innovative food production, and agriculture, as well as their economic, environmental, and social impacts. In short, Popchop is a source of information that bridges the gap between food culture and pop culture.
