The sole Austrian manufacturer of tableware can look back at a history starting in 1550 and is now operating in the ninth generation. Ever since its beginnings, the family enterprise has placed particular importance on a sustainable production, whether in terms of employees, the environment, or products. Since 1922, the tableware has been refined with enamel at the company’s location in Ybbsitz. Its own small hydraulic power station, in use since the nineteen-twenties, guarantees that the enamel tableware produced there is CO2–neutral. The company has frequently worked together with famous designers for its own products and for commissions. The collaboration with designers has increased in recent years and forms part of the Riess success story.
