Slowakisches Institut in Wien
By putting on a variety of events, the Slovakian Institute in Vienna aims to create a living cultural space in order to acquaint the Austrian public with Slovakian art, culture, and history. The institute was founded in 1995 with the intention of creating a productive network in Austria for the Slovakian culture. Through an improved presence of the Slovakian culture, a mutual cultural exchange between the Republic of Austria and the Slovak Republic is promoted, which is made possible by the geographical proximity of the capitals of the two countries. The Slovakian Institute regularly offers concerts, art exhibitions, tourist presentations, readings, discussions, and film showings.
