The research area Three-Dimensional Design and Model Making (Kunst2) at the Institute of Art and Design, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, TU Wien, explores three-dimensional design with a focus on physical materials as tools for creation and conceptual development. At the intersections of art, architecture, and design, experimentation takes center stage. The interdisciplinary team of artists and architects investigates the tension between analog techniques and contemporary technologies. Through national and international collaborations, innovative approaches emerge and are shared with a wide audience via exhibitions, symposia, and publications. The TU Wien Library serves as a knowledge hub and social infrastructure supporting this research.
