UNIKATESSEN was opened in June 2013 and is renowned for its eclectic, rough-cut mix. Old arches, free-wheeling space and raw walls make the concept store into a very special place for selling its range of one-off, unique pieces and small collections by aspiring young designers. It was in this spirit, too, that the designers of the concept store have taken charge of the installation concept for this year’s VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. Cabin design is by Noémi Kiss & Andreas Reichl, the interior design is the work of Christopher Rhomberg. UNIKATESSEN collaborates with artists and designers and holds crossover events and performances that explore themes and spaces in a combination of art, design, photography and music. This year the exhibition area is being enlarged to include the Café Aromat.
