Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien
The University of Applied Arts Vienna stands for an aesthetics of change, combining the arts with the design disciplines (design and architecture) and the scientific disciplines. As an internationally renowned and influential art university, it develops new inter- and transdisciplinary programmes from the arts, design and scientific disciplines, which are directed towards social change processes and do not react, but open up future horizons in an experimental way. The Angewandte is an art university that goes far beyond traditional fields of artistic production. In both teaching and research, questions and fields of activity are aimed at the current conditions and changes in our society. Around 2000 students study at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Many of them come from other European and non-European countries.
